DISCOVERY BOAT GUIDE · GULF OF POETS

Tellaro from the sea: a small village, a huge view

Tellaro marks the eastern edge of the Gulf, its houses clustered directly over the rocks. From a boat the village is instantly recognisable and makes a beautiful scenic waypoint.

WHAT TO SEE

Tellaro from the sea

1Tellaro village from the sea
2Rocky coast toward Fiascherino
3Views back toward Lerici
4Swim stops in permitted areas

Where to stop

The tiny landing is not a free parking area for rental boats. The best experience is usually to enjoy Tellaro from offshore and stop only where conditions and local rules allow.

WHAT TO DO
  • Keep a safe distance from the rocky shore
  • Check wind and swell before stopping
  • Leave enough margin for the return if weather changes
  • Ask at the briefing which bays suit the day’s conditions
WHAT TO AVOID
  • Do not rely on berthing in the tiny harbour
  • Do not approach rocks in rough water
  • Do not stop inside swimming areas
  • Do not go beyond the navigation limits explained by Discovery Boat
Discovery Boat tip

Pair Tellaro with Lerici on calm days for a complete view of the Gulf’s eastern coastline.

Rules and safety

Local ordinances, swimming areas and navigation rules can change during the season. Always follow the Discovery Boat briefing and the official rules in force on the day.
